This brand new stick from Cigar.com is yet another masterful blend by the legendary A.J. Fernandez. It was kinda hard to catch the label as it was rather bright on what was “supposed” to be a rainy day, anyways this stick was rather soft so I would chalk that up to it’s freshness. Cap cut super easy and the draw was almost on the verge of being loose, but I chalk it up as a perfect draw. I know it’s hard to tell in the pic but the wrapper was nice and oily and while the construction was kind of veiny, there was no visual flaws I could see.
Lighting aroma to me brings up hints of chocolate, leather, and a small hint of cinnamon. Those flavors continue through a great percentage of this tasty stick.
I felt the first ash fell kind of early but that I contribute to getting a phone call, I would say leather and cedar/wood notes dominate this stick and the finish is very crisp. Don’t really have much to note on during this stick other than it produces a serious amount of smoke, and the flavor profile picked up in strength as the cigar burned.
The 2nd ash fell about 10 minutes after this pic, only other note is how consistent this cigar remained through the second 3rd of the cigar.
Final 3rd
In the final 3rd the woodsy tones take a back seat to a full flavored earthy flavors with a tiny hint of spice to it, and seriously you would be hard-pressed to find a cigar that can compare to this especially at its price. I’m very happy I made a box purchase and look forward to sharing this with friends very shortly.

(4.5/5)
Final thoughts: for a house blend this will soon move into my top favorites along with the Brazilian and the Cuban blends, who would have thought you could get such premium cigars at such insanely low prices. I must thank Tim Blythe of Cigar.com for taking the time to make sure this was a successful house blend. As usual feel free to post comments or thought and likewise I hope you enjoyed the review as much as I enjoyed smoking it.
Cheers,
Spencer I.

Great review spence, I can’t wait to try one of these. See ya in a week or so!
Nice review! Looking forward to giving this one a try – cinnamon is one of my favorite nuances in a cigar. With the way the review was written, I’m surprised you gave it a 4.5 out of 5 – it sounded a little bit too consistent (meaning no distinct flavor changes) to get that high of a review. Course, if you do add in the awesome price point into your scoring system that definitely helps the score.
Yeah, I think the price would definitely pay a role if I was in Spence’s shoes. However, sometimes its better a cigar doesn’t change much throughout. As long as the flavors and the experience is enjoyable
! Nonetheless its interesting it got more stars than some other supposedly “super-premiums” we had reviewed in the past… Good job Cigar.com!
Looking forward to this one. I have 2-5 packs on the way and AJ rarely fails to please.
Thanks for the Review…. I smoked one yesterday and Pretty much got the same thing. I want more! Glad i grabbed some in the DD at CCOM!
Just had my first one of these and it had a very intensely sweet feel to it.
I might have to get a box.
Very good smoke. Great construction. Delivers throughout. Will be picking up more of these In the future.
into the 1/3 of one currently as I type and enjoying a nice cup of coffee. The sweetness of the coffee mixed with this stick is wonderful so far. I purchased the large house blend sampler from cigar.com and have not been let down yet.
It’s probably been close to a year since I smoked a fiver of these sticks but I wasn’t too impressed. IMHO you would probably be better off smoking maybe a La Herencia Cubana or A Conuco, maybe A Calle Ocho Sumatra. More bang for your buck!
